An only child from Texas, Chandra has called Washington County, Maryland, home since 2007. Her journey through weight loss surgery in 2013 led her to become a health and wellness spokesperson for the local bariatric community, proudly maintaining over 175 pounds of weight loss for more than 11 years.

Known for her vibrant personality and motto of never meeting strangers, only friends, Chandra thrives on building connections. You'll often find her representing her and her husband’s lawn care company, C & M Lawns where their slogan is "We make tall grass short", across the community—so don’t hesitate to say, “Hi!” when you spot her out and about.

Recently, Chandra has expanded her horizons by joining ValorExcel, where she will be lending her diverse experience to providing social media development services, graphic and web design, blog and YouTube content creation, business development, and promotions, all aimed at increasing the organization’s impact as a Business Development Strategist.

Her passion for community and collaboration extends beyond her work with Valor Excel. Chandra serves on the Ambassador Committee for the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, and also co-created The Girl Boss Assembly, bringing together entrepreneurs for inspiration and networking.

Outside of her professional life, Chandra and her husband, Martin, manage a busy household of seven—including four kids, Uncle Bob, and two playful cats, Ryker and Geordie.

Fun Fact: Chandra has even performed stand-up comedy at local open mic nights—and hasn’t been booed off stage yet!
